With an advanced carbon construction, a design centred on
aerodynamic performance and state of the art components, the Cervelo S5
Dura-Ace Di2 Disc Road Bike lays a strong claim to being the fastest bike
available in today’s market.
The high grade of carbon utilised for the frameset
construction is laid in a specific format to result in the stunning bottom
bracket and head tube stiffness to ensure that every watt is translated from
the rider into forward propulsion. Despite this high lateral rigidity, the
sophisticated carbon lay up also guarantees comfort and keeps the overall
weight to a minimum. The quest for speed is further satisfied by the TrueAero
sculpted frame tube profiles, an innovative fork head tube shroud, the V-Stem
and a custom handlebar that all work in unison to reduce aerodynamic drag
tremendously.
ENVE SES 5.6 wheels lend their wind-cheating rim profiles to
the build and are responsive and light. They are driven forward by the top of
the range Dura-Ace Di2 electronic gear setup that ingrates a 4iiii Precision
dual-sided power meter into its chainset to give the rider invaluable feedback
when racing and training. The addition of a CeramicSpeed bottom bracket is a
professional touch and lowers rotational friction markedly while the Dura-Ace
hydraulic disc brake configuration stops with accuracy and power under any
weather conditions.
