CERVELO P5 ULTEGRA DI2 DISC TT/TRIATHLON BIKE
Using the same frame and fork as the range-topping model, Cervélo’s P5 Ultegra Di2 Disc TT/Triathlon Bike offers a great way to experience the P5 benefits. The frame is now more than 20% stiffer at the bottom bracket and head tube for better power transfer whilst also being lighter and more aerodynamic than the previous model.
The clever Speed Riser handlebar system provides easy adjustment using just one tool for a precise fit and is simpler to travel with than most TT bikes too, despite fully internal cable routing for aerodynamic benefits. Premium Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes mean much more confidence when cornering or descending than time trial bikes of old, leading to faster times or better triathlon splits. The Di2 shifters are also from the Dura-Ace range, with the electronic set up meaning that gear changes can be called up from either the extensions or when braking, so that it is easier to maintain the desired cadence throughout the ride.
The remainder of the drivetrain is from the Ultegra range, ensuring that the shifting is quick and precise, with the 11-speed, mid-compact gearing providing good options for every style of course. Wheel-wise, the tubeless-ready DT Swiss P1800 32 Spline is a relatively shallow rimmed wheel that is good for blustery, difficult days or training.
The bike is supplied with Smartpak storage options, an Aerobttle 500 and rear hydration mount that attach to the frame out of the way of the wind but give the potential to carry enough fluid and nutrition for full Ironman length events.
